Douglas Education Center’s Career Services Department strives to send each student into the professional world, with the strength and confidence to succeed. We support the academic and professional growth of each student and alumnus by offering services help develop career goals, pursue those goals, attain practical experience and achieve long term career success. Individual and group counseling is available to teach the skills required to search for and obtain meaningful employment (i.e., identifying and assessing work content skills, writing resumes and application letters, gaining the competitive edge through non-traditional job-search methods, company research, developing portfolios, dressing professionally, and preparing for interviews).

Today is the Health Fair for students, faculty, and staff from 10 AM-12 PM. The Allied Health Students will be performing screenings for the event including: Temperature, Pulse, Blood Pressure, Height, Weight, Blood Glucose, Cholesterol, Triglycerides, Blood Typing (all blood testing will be via finger stick) and pregnancy testing (via urine).
Refreshments will be provided.

Our Student Spotlight Award for August goes to Casey Jacobs and Tania Asario, both who are in Dorian's Fantasy Art Program.

Instructor Dorian Cleavenger selected Casey and Tania to receive the Spotlight Award. "They have shown extraordinary dedication to their art and their careers. Casey has developed a new “style” and is committed to perfecting it, Tania is prolific and diverse and is dedicated to finding her “true-self” in the art world" said Cleavenger.
