Information Technology Coordinator
Job Purpose:
Enhances functions of the IT Department by providing support as outlined below:
Job Duties:
- Will report to the Director of IT.
- Perform responsibilities at all of DEC's multiple facilities.
- Day to day maintenance of electronic security system.
- Will be responsible for learning all areas of IT utilized on the DEC Campus and will be performing additional duties as required.
Basic Windows Server Administration
- User/Group management in Active Directory
- Assign security to files/folders
- Knowledge of DHCP/DNS
Basic Firewall Configuration/Knowledge
- Basic Wiring Skills
- CAT 5e/6 patch panel/cable experience
Basic PC OS and Hardware Install/Troubleshooting
- Repair/Replace computer hardware
- Repair/Install/Troubleshoot Windows based Operating Systems
Lab Maintenance
- Assist in set up and maintaining computer stations and software for students and labs.
Internal Systems
- Assists in supporting corporate applications/internal corporate servers/user desktops, etc.
- Assists with basic troubleshooting, backup, and archiving.
- Helps install and improve computer software and network equipment.
Help Desk Administration
- Helps answer all trouble calls/emails and enters work orders into our ticket system.
- Effective troubleshooting and research skills.
- Interacts with internal clients to resolve basic help desk issues; communicates with students/faculty/staff in a professional manner maintaining confidentiality.
- Provides responses to internal users in a timely manner.
Asset Management
- Assists with the inventory management of software licenses, software, hardware, and other IT supplies.
- Assists with the purchase of software, hardware and other IT supplies.
- Promotes responsible usage and care of corporate equipment.
