Douglas Education Center is accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools and is approved to award Associate in Specialized Business Degrees and Diplomas.

The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education. Its accreditation of degree-granting institutions is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Douglas Education Center is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of Private Licensed Schools. The Cosmetology Academy at Douglas Education Center is licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of State, Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs, State Board of Cosmetology.

AUTHORIZATION

Douglas Education Center is authorized by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of Private Licensed Schools, to award diplomas upon the successful completion of the academic requirements of the respective programs.

The authorization to award Associate is Specialized Business Degrees has been granted to Douglas Education Center by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, Degree Granting Division of the State Board of Private Licensed Schools.

Douglas Education Center is approved by the United States Department of Education for federal student financial assistance programs such as:

- Federal Pell Grant Program

- Federal Supplement Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

- Federal Work Study Program (Student Employment)

- Federal Stafford Loan Program (FFEL)
