Mission Statement:
Douglas Times is the official news publication for the Douglas Education Center community. It seeks to articulate the creative and intellectual vitality of DEC and its ideals by promoting the academic and professional achievements of its students, faculty and employees. Douglas Times also reports on the varied activities that take place on campus, informs the DEC community of official decisions, plans and policies of the administration, and attempts to foster a sense of community among its employees.

Mission Statement:
In Focus is Douglas Education Center's news and features web journal, aimed at spotlighting the people, programs, and possibilities at DEC. The journal focuses on news from the school as well as other DEC stories of interest to our web audience.

On a weekly publishing schedule, The DEC Spotlight's flexible publishing schedule allows contributors from across the DEC community to publish stories that are timely and unique to the web, and that reflect DEC's active and collaborative campus community. Features may include event coverage from a student perspective, constituent testimonials and profiles, collaborative faculty blogging on location, photo slideshow recaps, video reflections, and more.

Student, faculty, alumni, and staff contributors are encouraged to submit their stories and photos about their DEC experience for consideration of publication - filling The DEC Spotlight with the voices of Douglas Education Center.
